Thank you for saving my night! You're a good spot, quick, and effective. Thank you to the random local who recommended this place. 10/10

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The portion size were really big and the food tasted amazing. I really like the eggplant which had basil and tomato sauce. It was seasoned perfectly and had a lot of flavor. I also liked the beef fried rice and the Singaporean noodle who was really good. I highly recommend coming in big group so that you can try different food options. The food came out quick and the service was good.

If you're craving good authentic soup dumplings. This by far has be one of the best places in Boston to get them. Location wise, this is the perfect spot in Chinatown. If you're walking from Boston commons / Boston public gardens. With the nice weather out, it's so nice to just take in the scenery, walk-through Boston, and then stop by here for a nice bite to eat and enjoy some true Taiwanese style soup dumplings. If you come on a Friday or Saturday night, do expect to wait, they tend to be a line, as this place is rather cozy. Personally, that's why I enjoy going for that walk around town and coming here just slightly after the dinner rush. So if you're gonna be coming here around 6 to 730, do expect to wait. The service is great, you don't have to feel intimidated, as the staff can speak English. They also have the menus translated in both Chinese, and in English so no need to bust out the Google translate. Food comes out rather quickly, so you don't have to worry about waiting too long. Most importantly the soup dumplings are spot on delicious. Once you bite into them, you do get that mouth full of delicious soup. (Do be careful it is very HOT!)

The ladies hand making the noodles in the back of the restaurant is a testament to the authenticity of this place. I really enjoyed the authentic and flavorful dishes. You could tell the dumplings were made in house, and the soup made it feel like eating in a real household. The ladies here were very kind and friendly, and there's a real sense of community with the customers and this place. The luncheon special is a really great deal and goes until 5 pm!

Came here for some late night food after our date and that was the best idea. Food came out sizzling hot and the service was great. We got beef ho fun, beef with long horn peppers and dry fish fillets. The noodles on the Ho fun was a bit over cooked imo. The fish fillets was hot and crunchy and the beef with longhorn peppers was spicy, don't order it if you cannot it spicy food but I love it. Everything was pretty oily also. I wish they cut back some of that excess oil and it will be perfect. There was only one server but she is super nice and attentive to customers.

A solid spot for Chinese & Tawainese food. I highly recommend the stirfried egg & tomatoes with beef. However, I'm not a fan of the braised eggplant with basil. It's super oily, and there is an overpowering vinegar flavor. The sauce drenches the dish, and it completely overtakes the natural eggplant flavor. Service is ok. Be aware that an 18% tip is automatically added to your check regardless of the size of your party. I think most patrons miss this, and it's a way to get double tips, which is shady... but this is Chinatown... The ambiance is fine.

Came in here with a big group. Service was fast and food came out at a steady pace. We ordered a ton so I'll talk about a few of the must gets. The pork intestines 5/5. They clean it well so there is no taste and the spiciness compliments it well! The eggplant dish is to die for. 5/5 I am usually not a fan of eggplants but they cooked it just right so it's not mushy and the flavor is on point. The pork belly on top of preserved vegetables. 4/5. Flavor wise super flavorful. Pork isn't melt in your mouth soft or tough. A nice in between. The only thing is this isn't a dish to eat by itself. Load up on that rice and grab a slice. Gotta do it that way or it'll be too rich. Overall tons of great dishes and absolutely delicious.

Arrived Boston in late evening and wandering in Chinatown to find a hot noddle soup on a chilly winter night, Taiwan Cafe was already on my list an decide to give it a try. The shop has a bright blue big sign board so even though it's kind of in an alley it's easy to spot. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I got a spicy beef stew noodle soup and wow it was quite spicy! I think that was one of the spiciest Taiwan beef noodle soup I have had, but not saying it's not good and it's actually quite flavorful and got a lot of beef stew, tendons and beef balls. After the meal the staff also gave us two reusable shopping bags with the shop name on it as a small gift! This restaurant opens late so next time when I'm in town and searching for food late night I will want to visit again.

This restaurant in the middle of Chinatown was a great option. Food was really good and the food was delicious. They took a little to take the order but once they did the food came out fast and the server was super nice. She made good recommendations and was checking on us often. Some of the food was a little spicy but it was really good. The restaurant is located upstairs and it has several tables to choose from. Prices are good comparable to other restaurants in the area and the dumplings are highly recommended!

Taiwan Café is one of my favorite restaurants in Chinatown. I came with some friends on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, so we waited outside for around 20 minutes until a table was ready. They seated us at a big table with another group, which wasn't ideal, but I was hungry and happy to have a place to sit. The restaurant itself is fairly bare bones and doesn't have much ambiance, but the vibes are pretty standard for restaurants in the area. We ordered dumplings and a handful of entrées. My favorite was the Szechuan Style White Fish with Veggie in Spicy Broth. The flavor is just unmatched. It's also a really big portion, so I was able to bring home leftovers, which were enough for an additional meal. I will have to return the next time I'm in Chinatown!
